Polky sleeps with Aussie team

Mind out of the gutter people, I was just on the same plane from Mumbai as the team last night.

Had lunch at Tendulkar's place yesterday and watched Mitchell Johnson pad up to end the series.

Mumbai seems like a crazy place and would be fun, but as I couldn't check my bags in I didn't see much as I didn't feel like lugging it all around in the heat.

Day four provided the highlight of the tour for me.

Watching Ginga-Ganguly-guly-guly-guly-watc ha get out for a golden duck in his last innings was absolute gold.

Made the whole trip worthwhile (along with the people of Nagpur).

It may sound a little harsh, but having watch Ganguly strut around arrogantly on the field and ignore his adoring fans for the last five weeks it was just the perfect way for them to remember him.

"Too cool for school," Shepparton's Zach commented.

The Indians idolise him and he could barely bring himself to acknowledge them.

Anyway, am in Kuala Lumpur waiting for my next flight, trying not to stalk the players round the airport...

You should buy the poor sods a drink coz they will be welcomed home like Vietnam Vets in the 70's ... bit unfair really ... Aussies really do have the shortest memories ... Lest we forget!

Yes, to win in India would've been a massive (and rare) achievement. As long as we win both Test series this summer, all is still well...

As you said " I was just on the same plane". Well Mr Polky it was obvious that some of our Aussie team " were just on the same ground" as the Indians. Congrats to Crawf, good decision and nothing more to prove.

Journey to the West
A long time ago Monkey followed a Buddhist priest, Tripitaka, from China to India in search of holy scriptures to save the world. Chairman Polky now heads to India in search of the same, and to watch a little cricket too...
