A 41-YEAR-OLD woman accused of having sex with a teenager after a drunken night out has been committed to stand trial in a County Court.
Ballarat Magistrates Court heard Jenny Lee Mitchell, of Sebastopol, was "very wasted and vulnerable" when she allegedly had sex with a 14-year-old boy at her unit between February 1 and March 31 last year.
A police summary tendered to the court says Mitchell allegedly bought a slab of vodka Cruisers and shared it with the 14-year-old boy, a 17-year-old and a 20-year-old before they went out to a number of hotels and continued to drink.
Police allege the group then caught a taxi to Mitchell's unit where she allegedly had sex with the 17-year-old in her bedroom and, shortly after, had sex with the 14-year-old.
The 17-year-old, who is now 19, told the court he did not want anyone to know about the incident.
"I wanted it to go away, I was embarrassed," he said.
However, his mother told the court her son was forthcoming about the incident and he and his 14-year-old mate were high-fiving each other.
Four months before the alleged incident, Mitchell had stopped taking medication for an injury and started drinking alcohol to excess on a regular basis, the police summary says.
It also says she suffered mood swings, memory loss and behaved in very strange ways.
"I know (Mitchell) would not be in the right frame of mind. (Mitchell) would not go out and do that," the 17-year-old's mother said.
Mitchell has pleaded not guilty to two counts of sexual penetration of a child under 16 years.
Her bail was extended until June 24 when she will appear at the County Court in Ballarat for a directions hearing via video link to Melbourne.
