SPECIAL Operations Group members have arrested a man in Daylesford in connection with a death in North Melbourne.
SOG police members also raided a property in Fawkner early yesterday and arrested a 39-year-old man over the death.
A man, 24, was arrested in Daylesford yesterday afternoon and was last night speaking with police.
The body of a 31-year-old man was found in a unit in Canning Street, North Melbourne, about 5.40pm on Saturday.

The two men were expected to appear in an out-of-sessions court hearing last night.
Meanwhile, police have charged six men following the death of a man in Horsham.
Shane Willshire, 24, Gavin Willshire, 27, Shane Campbell, 38, Matt Lovett, 21, Christian Pickering, 25, and Ryan Jones, 20, have all been charged with one count of murder.
The sixth and final man allegedly turned himself in to police.
The men, all from Horsham, appeared at an out-of-sessions court hearing and were remanded to appear in Nhill Magistrates Court tomorrow.
The victim, a Horsham man, 25, was found with serious injuries at the corner of Shirley Street and McMillan Court around 10pm on Friday. He died early yesterday.
Homicide Squad Detective Inspector John Potter said the dead man was earlier caught drink-driving by Horsham police.
He allegedly recorded a blood alcohol reading of .113 at about 7pm Friday.
“He received a penalty notice and was released from the station,” Detective Inspector Potter said.
“After that he went to an address near Shirley Street, where an altercation with a man took place.”
Detective Inspector Potter said another altercation, with a group of men who the victim knew, took place later on Friday night.
Police are also investigating the death of a 41-year-old man whose body was found by his father with “significant injuries’’ at a house in Endeavour Hills at 10.30am yesterday.
Police believe the victim had been bashed, possibly with a weapon.
