Ballarat Harmony Fest for everyone

08 Feb, 2012 11:41 PM
BALLARAT’S street party to celebrate “all of us” promises to be better than before with more events and a bigger space.

To be held tomorrow at Alfred Deakin Place from 4.30pm to 8.30pm, Harmony Fest will include music, dance, a Koori market and international food.

City of Ballarat councillor for people and communities John Philips said the festival, in its second year, would take off from last year with a diverse line-up of performers from around the globe.

“I think it brings a great strengthening of all our links between multiculturalism, Australianism and Koorism,” Cr Philips said.

Headline acts include Asanti Dance Theatre, Massive Hip Hop Choir and Tumbarumba.

A wide range of international food from African to Indian to Dutch pancakes will also be on offer.
