TEMPERATURES are expected to soar above average over the next three months.
A warm October saw an average temperature of 18.8C and just 10mm of rain fall.
The three-month outlook from the Bureau of Meteorology says there is a 75 per cent chance that temperatures will remain above average.
"There is a strong likelihood of warm conditions as we head toward January," a Bureau of Meteorology spokesman said.
"For rainfall there is no clear signal but it should be close to normal."
Ballarat and District water storages are sitting at 13.5 per cent compared with 12.2 per cent at the same time last year.
Central Highlands Water community relations manager Kerrie Scott said the Goldfields Superpipe had been delivering Ballarat and district its approximate water needs since May.
"With stage four restrictions still in force, residents have done a tremendous job conserving water over the last 12 months," Ms Scott said.
"CHW continues to encourage residents to save water coming into the warmer months."
The average November rainfall for Ballarat is 55mm with November 2007 recording 83.2mm for the month with a downpour of 45.8mm coming in one day.
"You couldn't rule (strong rainfall) out, 83mm in November is above average but not out of the ordinary," the Bureau of Meteorology said.
The Bureau of Meteorology has 100 years of weather data on record and said the average temperature for November was 19.5C during the day and 7.7C overnight.
As summer inches closer December should average 22.5C while January will push the mercury to an average 25C.
