A BUSHFIRE that broke out this afternoon on Wilsons Road, Kooroocheang, has been controlled.Country Fire Authority and Department of Sustainability and Environment fire crews were on scene shortly after 5pm and the water bomber Elsie has been deployed.The agencies have advised residents in the Franklinford, Kooroocheang, Moorookyle, Shepherds Flat, Smeaton, Werona, Basalt and Werona Basin areas that smoke may be visible.Residents are urged to monitor conditions and check their bushfire survival plans.
