A JURY has gone out to deliberate in the sex trial of former Hey Hey It's Saturday producer Gavan Disney.
The jury of three women and nine men retired to consider its verdict about 1pm yesterday at the County Court in Ballarat.
The jury will return to court this morning where it is expected to continue deliberating.
Disney, 60, has pleaded not guilty to two counts of rape and 13 counts of indecent assault.
Judge Paul Lacava last week directed the jury to acquit Disney on three counts of indecent assault due to insufficient evidence, leaving them with 12 charges to consider.
The Crown alleges Disney committed the offences against a teenage co-worker at BTV6 during the early 1980s.
It is alleged Disney squeezed the teenager's genitals, kissed him and forced him to perform oral sex on him on multiple occasions at work and after hours.
