TWO former Ballarat television identities facing sex charges had their cases adjourned at a committal hearing yesterday.
Hey Hey It's Saturday co-creator Gavin Francis Disney, 58, has been charged with eight counts of indecent assault and two counts of rape alleged to have occurred between January 1980 and December 1983.
Disney, of Toorak, was granted an application last month not to appear in the Ballarat Magistrates Court because he was interstate.
Magistrate Kay Robertson adjourned his case to a two-day committal hearing on October 23 and 24.
Fellow former television identity Frederick Harold Fargher, 68, of Ballarat is also charged with one count of indecent assault relating to the same alleged victim.
Appearing in the Ballarat Magistrates Court yesterday, he had his case adjourned to August 15.
