TEN thousand people sang, danced and partied their way through the weekend at the 15th annual Meredith Music Festival.
The three-day event wound up last night with organisers declaring the festival another major success.
The music line-up featured The Avalanches, DJ show, Blackalicious, Sons and Daughters, The Kills, Warrnambool band Airbourne, J-Live, Cut Copy, The Jicks and You Am I.
Production manager Lou Ridsdale said the line-up featured something for everyone.
"With 10,000 people you have got to cater to a lot of different musical tastes," she said.
"The musical acts have been fantastic - all the colours of the rainbow, really different flavours.
"It's been a motley crew but it's been fantastic. Lots of bands have gone down extremely well."
Ms Ridsdale said the festival enjoyed the best weather in 15 years and remained incident-free.
"It's been amazing. The fact that the festival is built for fun-lovers, everyone looks after each other and I think, if there ever was any aggression, I think everyone would pitch in and sort it out," she said.
"Everyone just wants to get along here and have a good time. We have a good reputation of being punter friendly."
The event culminated in the running of the nude Meredith Gift yesterday afternoon.
Melbourne physical education teacher Michael Henningsen was hoping his fitness would get him first across the line in the 80 metre sprint.
"I promised my footy team mates that I would do it and that I would bring home the trophy," he said.
"I am ready to get nude and I am ready to run."
For the first time, this year's festival featured a big tent titled Heaven, providing hair cuts, massages, shaving and a round-the-clock convenience store.
