GET set for a wet week in Ballarat, and possibly snow on Thursday.
Ballarat received about 13mm of rain in the 24 hours to 10pm yesterday.
The Bureau of Meteorology is also predicting more showers today and tomorrow, with the possibility of snow on Thursday - if you're up high enough.
Senior forecaster with BoM Ward Rooney said the week had started off cold, and would become warmer tomorrow, before the next cold front on Thursday.
A low pressure system forming near the western Bass Strait will move east today, with a cold front moving to South Australia tomorrow, before crossing Victoria on Thursday.
"The next cold front will have cold air behind it, and will really make it wintery," Mr Rooney said.
Temperatures are not expected to exceed 10C this week, with a chilly 8C on Thursday.
Snow could fall around the region at 700m, including Buninyong, on Thursday afternoon and night.
Mr Rooney said Ballarat could also expect another 15mm of rain over the week.
"We'll get another rainfall burst today and Thursday," he said.
"It's a good, wintery type of week."
