POLICE are calling for witnesses to the assault of an 18-year-old Bunkers Hill man in the Ballarat CBD early
this morning.
The man was approached by a group of people about
2:30am on the corner of Mair and Lydiard Streets when the assault took place.
The victim was taken to the Ballarat Health Services Base Hospital by paramedics where he was treated for a laceration to the back of his head and a bruised ear.
The young man did not know his attackers and has little recollection of the incident.
