FOR the first time, Ballarat residents will enjoy six months of daylight saving from tomorrow.
The move has been welcomed by Ballarat East MLA Geoff Howard, who has campaigned for the change for many years.
Mr Howard said Ballarat people would enjoy the extra month of extra daylight.
At 2am tomorrow, people will need to wind their clocks forward one hour.
Daylight saving will come to an end on the first Sunday in April next year.
