A BALLARAT man who was banned from using the internet faced court yesterday after police allegedly found more child pornography on his computer.Stacy Livitsanis was charged with importing child pornography in July, after police allegedly found 488,000 child pornography images, 619 videos and 2097 texts during a raid at his home. The 29-year-old, who has told police he was addicted to child pornography, was banned from accessing the internet as part of his bail conditions.Australian Federal Police agent Paul Wheeler told Ballarat Magistrates Court that Livitsanis had breached his bail conditions and had told police last Tuesday that he had accessed child pornography on the internet.Mr Wheeler said Livitsanis went to a Ballarat internet cafe a month after the raid on his home."He stated in the recorded interview he wanted to download a story he had written to show to psychologists. But even though he only wanted to download one, he downloaded 20 to 25," Mr Wheeler said."He put them on a thumb drive, took it home and then saved it on a laptop he bought after Customs seized his original laptop. He believed he deleted them."Mr Wheeler said Livitsanis had written his own child pornography and believed he had put them on the internet in chapters. He said he was concerned about Livitsanis being released on bail because "he can't stop offending".Self-represented, Livitsanis told the court he believed it was in his best interest to continue appointments with his psychologist because they had been "very beneficial".Magistrate Richard Pithouse released Livitsanis on bail because he was concerned about a long delay for a trial date. He said it seemed Livitsanis was receiving the appropriate treatment.Livitsanis's bail conditions include not to use the internet or an internet cafe, not to buy a computer and to report to police three times a week.He was remanded to appear at court on December 12 for a committal mention.
