Royal South Street stars return

03 Oct, 2011 09:22 PM
AUSTRALIAN Ballet artists Adam Bull and Brooke Lockett have paid a visit to Her Majesty’s Theatre to check out the next generation in dance stars.

The dancers popped in to check out the 2011 Energetiks dance competitions, as part of Royal South Street.

Having both competed at Royal South Street in the past, Mr Bull and Ms Lockett took the opportunity to harken back to where it all began.

Mr Bull competed at Royal South Street from 1993 to 1998 in various dancing solo and troupe sections.

After joining the Australian Ballet in 2002, he was promoted to the highest rank of Principal in 2008.

Ms Lockett was a regular at Royal South Street from 1993 to 2001 and was accepted into the Australian Ballet School’s full-time program in 2002.

Mr Bull said it was good to be back in Ballarat.

“It was amazing to come back to Her Majesty’s Theatre during Royal South Street and see where it all started for me,” he said.

“I have so many fantastic memories.”
