A 19-YEAR-OLD Alfredton woman remains in a critical condition in Melbourne's The Alfred hospital after a head-on collision at Warrenheip last night.
She and another woman had been rushed to Ballarat Health Services Base Hospital earlier on with life-threatening injuries, after the crash.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesman said the teenager suffered serious head and leg injuries and had been placed into a coma by paramedics.

It is believed the woman was driving a silver Ford sedan south along Old Melbourne Road — about a kilometre from the Western Freeway — when her car and a red Hyundai hatchback travelling in the opposite direction, collided just before 7.30pm.
The driver of the Hyundai, a 37-year-old woman from Ballarat, was last night in a serious but stable condition, suffering lower leg fractures.
Paramedics and CFA crews worked for more than an hour to free the women.
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are looking into the crash and are appealing for witnesses.
