Woman hit by car in Sturt St

A 50-YEAR-OLD woman suffered a broken leg after being

struck by a car in Sturt Street today.

The woman was walking north along Armstrong Street

when she was struck by a car while crossing Sturt Street at 12.10pm today.

Ballarat Highway Patrol Senior Leading Senior Constable Brett Williams said the driver of the car failed to give way to the pedestrian when turning left into Sturt Street.

A 32-year-old female driver was issued with a fine for failing to give way to a pedestrian.
