Featuring 180 decorated bras, the Strong Foundations, The Curves Community exhibition was a joint project of Curves Victoria Co-operative and Intimo and sought to find the "most amazing bra".

Curves events and promotions co-ordinator Glenn Howlett said more than 65 clubs took part in competition, which took place during Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.

"We wanted to raise money and awareness," Mr Howlett said.

Some of the stand-out bras include a pair of pumpkins, two twins and ones covered in lollies, sequins, leaves and flowers.

In total $20,125 was raised and donated to the McGrath Foundation.

Ballarat Gold Museum curator Roger Trudgeon said they were proud to support the awareness-raising exhibition.

"This particular event allows us to communicate the importance of women's health issues to a broad audience in an entertaining way," he said.
