VICTORIA will have three Ballarat representatives in the Australian Under-20 Basketball Championships in the ACT.
Bronte Clark, Anthony Fisher and Jarrod Fryar will wear the Big V in the tournament on February 19-26.
Victoria has been one of the best performed states since the championship began in 1974.
The boys have won 22 titles and the girls have won six of the past 10.
This is the first time Vic Country and Vic Metro have combined for the championships.
Clark, who has played in three previous Vic Country teams, said she was “very surprised and excited” to have been selected.
She said training sessions had been intense, but worthwhile.
Each of the Ballarat trio is coming off big Ballarat domestic seasons.
Clark was the leading scorer in the Ballarat Basketball Association under-18A competition with 20.7 points a game.
Fryar had the highest average in the men’s A grade at 19.4 points, and Fisher’s Wildcats won the under-18A men’s title.
