BALLARAT Lady Miners have won their way into the South East Australian Basketball League women's conference finals.

They made the cut with an 18-point win over Kilsyth at the Minerdome on Saturday night.

The Lady Miners needed a win to make the play-offs.

The loss cost Kilsyth a spot in the top six.

The win not only kept Ballarat's championship hopes alives, it also extended the tenure of retiring coach Kym Cassells.

Kilsyth led by 10 points in the second quarter before Rachel Jarry led a Lady Miners' revival.

They had a 22-9 third quarter and then capped it off with an 18-12 run in the last quarter.

Jarry shot 27 points and 18 rebounds in an inspirational performance.

Amy Lewis (14 points) and Karen Ashby (12 points, five rebounds) offered strong support.

The Lady Miners now play Knox in the first week of the finals.
