NORTH Ballarat Rebels' utility Andrew Hooper and Ballarat Nuggets' basketballer Eddie Prato have joined the Western Bulldogs in this morning's AFL rookie draft.
Hooper was drafted to the Bulldogs at pick 35, while Prato was selected at pick 59.
Hooper - an under-18 All-Australian - joins former Rebels' team-mate Jordan Roughead, who was drafted to the Bulldogs last year and former Rebels' coach Chris Maple, a Bulldogs development manger.
Prato plays basketball for the Ballarat Nuggets and football with the Maryborough Football Club.
Hooper said he was listening to the draft on the radio while driving home to Ballarat from Melbourne.
He told The Courier he was rapt to be selected.
More to come.
