PLOTTING new moves, Ballarat Pride's next pre-season test is traditional rival North East Blaze.
Centre-courterJohanna Dash and goal keeper Elsie DeBooy are back in the championship division team tomorrow night for the Victorian Netball League bout.
Both cleared fitness tests at training last night, which continued to focus on moving players into the next phase of match play and intensity.
Pride head coach Jo Dash said there were "patches of brilliance" from all three teams last week, despite losses across the board.
All coaches have been toying with new combinations and testing new players.
Tomorrow night, against an old foe, would be no different.
"It's the old DC Force so there's all that history there and we didn't get a chance to see them last week. We don't know each other's game at the moment," Dash said.
"We're back into match play - the more the better."
New goalers Katherine Vickers and Bree Hanslow will have another chance to settle in the circle with key shooters Georgia Cann and Catherine Maika still sidelined with foot injuries.
It is an adjustment for seasoned feeders Melissa Beaston and Lauren Atkinson, without on-court leader and goal attack Emma Farrell in action this season.
DeBooy is expected to slip back as Pride tests combinations with the experienced Mel Martinelli and exciting aerial recruit Jane Lewis.
Pride division one coach Daniel Cook has also been busy assessing his new troops, who will also face North East Blaze.
In the 19-unders, development players Molly Boyle and Alex Hamlyn are keen for another taste of state league netball and remain in the mix to be called up for tomorrow night's clash with Peninsula Waves.
