TOUGH midfield duo of Luke Faull and Kade Nicholls will band together tomorrow for the first time in three seasons at East Point.
The pair has been easing back into the Red Lions Kangaroos senior line-up after a lengthy spell overseas.
Nicholls made his senior return last round against Bacchus Marsh, in which Faull was rested after four consecutive matches in the ones.
Their combined experience will bolster the Roos line-up for a battle with Redan which sports one of the competition's toughest midfield units.
Nicholls said getting back into Ballarat Football League action was like being thrown in the deep end.
They played in a social Australian Rules competition while in the United Kingdom.
Faull said getting fitness back for the intensity and speed of the BFL had been a long, slow process, especially without a pre-season under their belts.
Both players said it felt good to be back at Eastern Oval and they looked forward to clashing again with Redan.
