"WE don't want to be a one-game wonder."
These were some parting words from Ballarat Lady Miners coach Kym Cassells as she prepared to
fly to Brisbane for two games against Southern Districts in the South East Australian Basketball League women's conference.
The Lady Miners finally delivered the type of form they have been searching for to defeat Nunawading by 21 points on Sunday.
It was a massive turn around after heaving losses to Nunawading and Kilsyth in their previous two outings.
"We don't want to waste it.
"We need to start building," Cassell said.
She said there were no special messages for players at such an important period in the season.
"There's enough motivation in that we now know what we can do."
Cassells believes the travel has the potential to be factor for the Ballarat Community Health Lady
Miners, with the team leaving Ballarat today shortly after 7am and then playing tonight.
"They're (Southern Districts) better than their record indicates."
Cassells said Ballarat would have to be right on its game.
