08 Mar, 2010 12:13 AM
LAKE Wendouree has added a new piece of silverware to its trophy cabinet.

The Lakers won the Eureka Cup as part of Saturday's NAB Challenge match at Ballarat Eureka Stadium.

The reigning triple Ballarat Football League senior netball premiers outclassed Avoca in the final of the round-robin competition, which was the first competitive day of netball played on the venue's new courts.

North City, Darley, Redan and Creswick were also involved in the competition, but failed to win through to the final.

A series of pool matches, consisting of two 10-minute halves were played before the top two teams moved through to the decider.
