NINE Ballarat cricketers have been selected to line up in the Central Highlands' under-21 Country Cup team this Sunday.

Jarrod Burns will captain the side, joining fellow Ballarat-based players Lachlan Anderson (vice-captain/wicketkeeper), Grant Bell, Tyler Dittloff, Chris Egan, Ashley Gunn, Sam McVitty, Tim Miller and Matt Ringin in the team

that will meet Western Waves in the semi-final stage of the competition.

Sam Bartlett and Sam Johnston have made the team from Maryborough, while Andrew Maconachie is the Grampians' sole representative.

Central Highlands will look to continue its domination of the competition, having won it in the past two years, when it meets Waves at Horsham's City Oval.

The match will commence at 11am, with the winner moving through to the grand final on Sunday, November 22.

Brad Hallam, Joel Kitchen, Matt Ward and Peter Guy are the emergencies for Central Highlands, which will be coached by Vin Cahill and managed by Rob Gifford.
