NORTH Ballarat will learn next month who among North Melbourne's selections in the AFL national draft will be part of its bid for three VFL premierships in a row.

The Roosters and Werribee will sit down with North Melbourne to finalise their AFL player lists after the rookie draft on December 15.

As the Kangaroos' alignment partners, North Ballarat and Werribee share the players equally.

North Ballarat is looking to replace five players who have moved on from the Kangaroos:ic

* Shannon Watt (retired)

* Adam Simpson (retired)

* Michael Wundke (delisted)

* Sam Power (delisted)

* Jesse Smith (delisted)

Watt and Wundke are the key losses to the the Selkirk Roosters' line-up.

Watt spent most of last season with them and capped off the year as a member of the premiership team.

Wundke played exclusively for North Ballarat for two years - becoming a dual premiership player.

North Ballarat football manager Marg Richards said, once North Melbourne had finalised its rookie list, the Roosters and Werribee Tigers would consider the spread of players, based on the teams' needs.

North Melbourne selected Ben Cunnington (Geelong Falcons), Ryan Bastinac (Dandenong Stingrays), Aaron Black (Peel Thunder), Jamie MacMillan (Oakleigh Chargers), Ayden Kennedy (Eastern Ranges)

and Brayden Norris (Murray Bushrangers) in the draft.

Meanwhile, North Ballarat has players from TAC Cup teams Bendigo Pioneers and Geelong Falcons looking at signing.

A Bendigo Bombers player is also considering a move to Eureka Stadium.

The opportunity to study at the University of Ballarat is a key to attracting the possible recruits.
