BOOM youngster Ben Cunnington will make his first appearance since being picked up by North Melbourne in last year's AFL national draft in Ballarat tomorrow.
Back from injury, the teenager from Cobden will line up with North Ballarat in a Victorian Football League practice match against Werribee Tigers at Eureka Stadium.
North Melbourne's first draft selection at number five, Cunnington was found to have a "hot spot" in a bone in his right foot earlier this year.
This diagnosis can often be the first sign of a stress fracture.
The setback has forced last year's All-Australian under-18 forward to sit out North Melbourne's two NAB Cup matches and the NAB Challenge fixture.
Werribee, which is also aligned with the Kangaroos, is expected to play rookie Majak Daw.
Up to 18 North Melbourne-listed players will line up in Ballarat.
The Selkirk Roosters will have nine - Luke Delaney, Warren Benjamin, Aaron Black, Corey Jones, Aaron Edwards, Cruize Garlett, Brayden Norris, Marcus White and Cunnington.
Like Cunnington, Delaney, Black and Norris are in their first years on the North Ballarat list.
The Roosters will blood several recruits against Werribee, including key defender and former Brisbane Lion player Matt Tyler, Liam Hoy (Warrnambool), Oliver Tate (North Ballarat City), and Ben Peters (Ballarat Swans) from
North Ballarat Rebels, and Ben Keeble (Bendigo Pioneers).
Former Geelong Falcons captain Chris Lynch will also be given an opportunity.
Lynch joined North Ballarat last year, but missed the season with injury.
