VFL to kick off

10 Mar, 2010 12:32 AM
VFL reigning premier North Ballarat clashes with Werribee at Eureka Stadium on Saturday in its first practice match of the year.

Each will feature North Melbourne-listed players in a full dress rehearsal for the upcoming season.

Midfielder Steve Clifton is the Selkirk Roosters' main injury concern. Returning from surgery after cutting ligaments in a toe, he will act as runner for the reserves.

He resumed training last week after extended period on crutches.

Rohan McHugh and Grant Bell are unavailable owing to cricket commitments. Seniors start at 2pm and reserves at 11am.

Will be good to see the boys hit the park again. Hopefully they play more up and comers rather then North Melbourne duds. Razza also heard one Steve Clifton cut his foot on glass after a few lemonades!
