BASKETBALL
Ballarat Miners import Rishawn Norwood has been cleared of serious injury after a heavy fall in an encounter with North West Tasmania in Ballarat last night.
The game was delayed 40 minutes while Norwood was treated on the court by paramedics in the last quarter.
Norwood had played a starring role in the South East Australian Basketball League game, which the Miners went on to win by nine points.
He had scored 28 points. BJ Carter shot 36 points

NORTH BALLARAT Rebels have treated their Wimmera supporters to a 30-point win against arch-rival Bendigo Pioneers in Horsham.
The Rebels kept their opponents goaless to half-time with Jandre Slabbert best on ground while Liam Hoy, Dean Gavin and Marcus Darmody continued their impressive form in TAC Cup under-18 competition.

North Ballarat City has ripped victory from Sebastopol's grasp in the final minute of play at Marty Busch Reserve.
The Burras had snared the lead with two minutes to go when Sam Jenkins slotted a goal from a 50-metre penalty that took him to the top of the goal square.
Moments later, North's Michael Todd booted the winner from 30 metres out clear in front - something neither team had managed all day.
