The Red Devils lost by one goal to Williamstown and have managed just two points in the opening seven rounds of the season.

MEN

Ballara t Miners resisted a late charge from Dandenong to triumph by three points in the South East Australian Basketball League east conference in Ballarat on Saturday night.

The Miners led by 16 points early in the last quarter, but dried up offensively.

Ballarat had just six scorers, with Drake Reed and Jared Scoines getting 16 points each.

WOMEN

Ballarat Lady Miners bounced back from a shattering loss to Dandenong by trashing Bendigo by 32 points at Bendigo on Sunday.

The Lady Miners ran away in the second half for their biggest win over the Lady Braves in the SEABL.

Ballarat was under the pumps after losing to Dandenong by four points at the Minerdome on Saturday night.

That gave it two defeats in a row.

The Lady Miners led by six points at the start of the last quarter and got the margin out to 10 after 90 seconds.

However, they scored just another four points.
