BALLARAT
LAkE WENDOUREE took a giant stride closer to its first BFL premiership with a 21-point win over flag favourite Sunbury in the qualifying final on Saturday.
And the Lakers did it on Sunbury's home patch.
Meanwhile, Ballarat ended East Point's season in an elimination final at the Eastern Oval, while
Redan had to dig deep to beat an impressive Darley at the Eastern Oval.
Sunbury now faces a sudden death clash with Redan, while Lake Wendouree and Ballarat will play off for a grand final berth.

Hepburn went into the clash unbeaten, but came up 20 points short after a titanic struggle.
Michael Cummings kicked four goals for the Bulldogs, while Andy McKay was best on ground in booting five majors for Hepburn.
The Burras now meets the winner of Buninyong and Dunnstown in the preliminary final.
Buninyong and Dunnstown clash in the first semi-final at Wallace on Sunday.
