SEBASTOPOL and
Daylesford will clash
in the Maryborough
Night Premiership to
morrow.
Both RegionalOne
Ballarat Football
League clubs will enter
the grand final almost
full strength, aiming
to claim the $1500 win
ners' prize.
The match will be
played from 8.30pm at
Princess Park.
Organisers have
brought the final for
ward from Saturday
night to allow the
teams to also play in
the BFL Eclipse Ford
Lightning Premier
ship.
The Chris Lewis-led
Kookaburras won a
place in the grand final
after about a six-goal
win against host side
Maryborough last
week.
The Demons de
feated the Kooka
burras earlier in the
three-team tourna
ment and, with former
coach Tim Beacham in
inspirational form,
also shrugged off
Maryborough for a sec
ond win.
Sebastopol president
George McIntosh said
his young side would
take the challenge
right up to the De
mons.
"We will be hard at it,
absolutely," he said.
"A win would be a
really big boost for our
confidence and morale.
"I think it would be
something our kids de
serve."
Mr McIntosh said
the influence of
Beacham could stand
in the way.
The key forward has
kicked 10 goals in two
games.
Beacham said he was
expecting a closely-
fought match.
"Sebastopol will
want to win and create
some enthusiasm at
the start of their sea
son," he said.
"I'm sure they will be
fairly confident, but
we will go in with our
best side and give it
everything we've got."
