I WAS just wondering with the NBN rollout possibly going to be rolled out as a trial in Ballarat, and the possible sign-off with Telstra and Optus taking place, do people realise that this means that NBN will be rolling out more cable in the city?
The cost of this to people will mean they will need to upgrade their lead-ins to their premises, as well as having their house pre-wired again.
Another thing that I noticed while 'Googling', I checked out what was required to run the smart meter.
Guess what? Wireless is required.
Is the government telling us the whole trush, or will the smart meters also be incorporated into this?
If this deal goes ahead, people may not have any choice but to sign up to NBN.
Is this what the people want?
