Keep Father Maguire for as long he's able

THE hierarchy of Victoria's Catholic Church should meet and advise Father Bob Maguire that he can remain as South Melbourne's parish priest as long as he is mentally and physically able to do so.

I toatlly agree Keith. The Federal Government are imploring Australians to stay working as long as we can so that we are not drawing on the already strained pension system. Further, the last time that I checked, the Catholic Church in Australia isn't exactly being swarmed with prospective preists and nunns. The Catholic Church ought to keep the good Father working as long as he has his faculties and he is happy to continue his service to his parishoners. If he's forced to retire, then what value does he lend to the church or the public?
