Hard work needed to uphold democracy

Democracy is still only skin-deep in some countries.

It is an age-old dream progressing slowly towards its accomplishment.

It's advancement is being hindered in countries where too many people are uncivilised and fanatical.

In democratic countries, all parties should co-operate in order to improve the living conditions.

But they cannot put their shoulder to the wheel when either of the political wings is moving too far in one direction.

They have to oppose strongly and hold ground for the sake of democracy.

Subsequently, they are being accused of radicalism, while it is the other party that is deviating from the course of democracy.

The human race may finish up in another holocaust before the rule of democracy has become fully established.
