A SIX shot victory has boosted Ballarat East's top four chances, as the double blues go three in a row in Ballarat District Bowls division one.
Trailing by a dozen shots at the tea break, East rumbled home in the second half of play to defeat Learmonth 91-85 at Learmonth on Saturday.
The three rink wins to one result vaults Ballarat East 17 points clear of fifth placed Learmonth on the division one ladder.
Mt Xavier got the business done against an under-strength BMS, 100-84, to maintain top spot. The Ballarat juggernaut rolled on with a four rinks to nil, 109-83 away win against City Oval. Webbcona defeated Buninyong 101-89, and Smeaton continued its winning record at home with a 94-93 victory over unlucky Victoria.
