Tickets for the February event went on sale yesterday, with many music lovers racing to secure their place.
The second concert followed Saturday’s Lakeside Twilights at Lake Wendouree, which drew a crowd of almost 1200 people.
Lakeside Twilights organiser Duane McDonald said more than 400 tickets were sold yesterday, an indication that people enjoyed the weekend’s event. But he said organisers wouldn’t want to sell more than 1200 tickets in a bid to keep the concert as intimate and family-friendly as possible.
“Saturday’s concert was perfect,” Mr McDonald said.
The next concert will boast another impressive line-up, including Kiwi-come-Aussie rockers Dragon and Australian music legends Ross Wilson, Brian Cadd, and Glenn Shorrock.
Lakeside Twilights was originally intended as a Ballarat-exclusive event, but Mr McDonald said organisers had now received interest from towns including Bendigo and Shepparton.
Lakeside Twilights will take place at Fairyland Reserve on Saturday, February 23 from 2pm. Tickets cost $49.90 and are on sale now from Ticketmaster, Regent Cinemas and Re Discovery CDs and Records Ballarat.
