But when vandals trashed their display early yesterday morning, the Tongs were left shaking their heads in disgust.
A group of males are reported to have smashed and stolen their display about 1am yesterday, before making off in a twin cab ute.
Not only did they damage a lot of the decorations, they even broke through metal fencing to steal the centrepiece of the display - a baby Jesus replica.
“It’s really distressing that they come and do this in the middle of the night,” said Margaret Tong.
“We make the displays to spread the Christmas cheered and we think its good to let people know what we think Christmas is about.”
