5PM: Three children have been treated by Ambulance Victoria after being impacted by the fires at Blampied.
In a live press conference this afternoon, fire services commissioner Craig Lapsley said as the fire headed towards bushland, it ran past Rutherford Park, a school retreat.
"School-aged children were on holidays and doing holiday activities," Mr Lapsley said.
"Three of those children have been treated by Ambulance Victoria for smoke inhalation and problems with smoke, dust and debris around their eyes.
"None of them are critical, and that is a good thing."
4.25PM: The CFA has downgraded the emergency fire warnings at Blampied to a Watch and Act.
It says the fire is about 100 hectares in size and has been contained.
A wind change is expected within the next two hours, which may cause the fire to change direction towards Bryces Flat, Hepburn Springs and Kooroocheang.
3.45PM: Sheds are believed to have been destroyed in an out of control bushfire, heading towards Kangaroo Hills. 27 emergency services units are on scene at the blaze. Three aircraft are also being used.
The Midland Highway has been closed in both directions between Telegraph Road at Newlyn North and Old Ballarat Road at Eganstown.
Emergency services are directing traffic at the scene. VicRoads advises drivers to avoid the area and seek alternative routes.
Meanwhile, there is a bushfire in the Vodka Track-Greendale area, on the other side of Daylesford.
The fire is being controlled.
An advice warning has been given to Bullengarook, Bullengarook East, Greendale, Myrniong, Dales Creek and Blackwood.
DSE and CFA crews are currently onsite.
3.25PM: A Watch and Act alert has been issued for Bullarto, Bullarto South, Daylesford, Hepburn, Musk and Woodburn. The CFA says the fire is expected to impact these districts between 4.45pm and 6.46pm.
3PM: AN emergency warning has been issued with a large grassfire at Blampied.
It is travelling south easterly direction and is expected to impact Kangaroo Hills, Kingston, Leonards Hill, Mount Prospect, Sailors Falls and Muskvale.
It is about 500 hectares in size and is out of control.
2.40PM CFA and DSE crews are working on a grassfire that has started in Blampied.
The fire is listed as being in Kangaroo Hills Road, which is off the Midland Highway.
They say smoke may be visible from nearby communities and roads.
