CORONET CITY has broken through to claim its first scoreboard victory of the Ballarat Cricket Association club firsts season.
The City boys, which got the points against East Ballarat in round one due to two ineligible opponents taking the field, chased down Brown Hill's 8-193 at Western Oval today.
Chris Kinna steered his team to victory with an unbeaten 87 as the visitors passed the target with four wickets and an over in hand.
Earlier in the day, Nick Hyden helped the Bulls to a defendable score with 73 not out in the middle order, while Nathan Cutherbertson took 4-40 with the ball for City.
Other winners from the round of one-day matches were Darley over Mt Clear, Wendouree easily against North Ballarat, Napoleons-Sebastopol at home to East Ballarat and Ballarat-Redan against Golden Point.
