Lost cash: Ballarat residents have $730,000 to claim

MORE than $730,000 has not been claimed by Ballarat residents at Victoria’s State Revenue Office.

The total figure is comprised of dividends, salaries and wages, rent and bonds, cheques, trust money, over-payments, Tattslotto, Intralot and TAB winnings.

A Bakery Hill woman has one of the largest individual claims of $8622.16. 

More than 2600 residents in Wendouree have unclaimed entitlements, totalling $96,665.48 

Ballarat Central’s claims total more than $100,000 from 1682 people. 

Other enormous entitlements remain unclaimed from people from Sebastopol, Ballarat and Ballarat East. State Revenue commissioner Paul Broderick said all Ballarat residents, businesses and community groups were encouraged to search for lost cash using the SRO unclaimed money data base at sro.vic.gov.au.
