MIDLANDS inflicted a rare home defeat on Daylesford in round 14 of the Ballarat District Bowls Division midweek pennant division one competition yesterday.
The visiting side took 14 points from the fixture after winning two of the three rinks in a 71-65 victory.
Allison Slee and Sandra Grano collected rink wins for Midlands, while Dot Bull skippered Daylesford to its only triumph of the day.
Midlands is now sixth on the ladder following the success, with Daylesford keeping its spot in second despite the loss.
Other results from yesterday saw Central Wendouree B defeat Victoria 89-47, Central Wendouree A beat Mt Xavier 78-71, Smeaton account for Avenue 79-66 and Webbcona win out over Creswick 82-69.
