Remember the budget cuts at the election

Our local representative in The House of Representatives, Catherine King, Secretary to the Health Minister, should hang her head in shame at having assisted in the cut of $2.8 million from the Ballarat Health Services budget halfway through this current funding year.

As we now know, the cut has, and will, cause ramifications for the BHS board, the CEO and especially the staff.

The apparent fudging of population figures to enable such a cut in an attempt to balance the federal budget is nothing short of a great big joke.

By a strange coincidence, it was reported this week that the Gillard government has spent over $35 million already this year on market research to enable their spin doctors to make up stories in an effort to hide their incompetence.

It is time for Ms King to go in the upcoming election and let the voters elect a person who will represent us in Canberra.
