A BEER buzz has been about town in the lead-up to tomorrow's Ballarat Beer Festival. So in celebration, we asked our readers to chuck on their beer goggles and send us in a photo of themselves with their favourite beverage.
Chrissy Biggin captured her winning photo last year at Oktoberfest in Germany but decided it was perfect for The Courier's Put Your Goggles On reader assignment.
Ms Biggin said she went travelling overseas with friends late last year and Oktoberfest was one of the highlights.
"This photo is me with my friend Brenton Murray in one of the big tents," she said.
"People say Oktoberfest is like Disneyland for adults. The tents are just full of beers, people singing and laughing and the food is amazing."
Although Ms Biggin admitted she wasn't heading to the Ballarat Beer Festival, she said she would jump at the opportunity.
"It just looks like so much fun and the weather is supposed to be beautiful so I'm sure everyone will have a great time," she said.
This week's heatwave allowed plenty of cold beers to be enjoyed, which meant lots of happy snaps went sent our way for this week's iPhone and Android app report.
Whether it was a photo of your favourite beer in hand, drinking beer in a foreign country or enjoying after-work drinks with friends, it seems Ballarat people know how to relax with a beer or two.

Mrs Biggin has won a double pass to the Regent Cinemas.
