Wendouree driver had ‘fallen off the wagon’: court

A WENDOUREE man was told by a magistrate he had “fallen off the wagon” after he was caught speeding and drink-driving at the same time.

Brent Matthew Ludbrook, 39, produced a blood alcohol reading more than three times the legal limit during the driving episode, which took place near Stawell on the morning of October 25.

Ludbrook appeared in Ballarat Magistrates Court yesterday where he was disqualified from driving for two-and-a-half years.

Police prosecutor Acting Sergeant David Cosgriff said Ludbrook was picked up on the Stawell-Avoca Road about 9.30am and blew 0.153.

Ludbrook was fined $850 along with the disqualification.
