WHY increase the size of Wendouree Village (Stockland Wendouree)? At present, it is a comfortable size which provides easy access for older shoppers.
What Ballarat really needs is a new, south-western supermarket/shopping complex to directly service the ever-expanding Delacombe/Alfredton area.
This would also reduce traffic pressure on Gillies Street, which is already an access problem for Wendouree Village shoppers from outer districts.
