Boucher will be vying for his 13th win of the event, and Pascoe her ninth.
Both golfers earnt their victory in the event in 1995.
The BDGA event tees off at 7.15 this morning with the first round at Forest Resort Golf Course in Creswick.
Tournament director Dom Curnow said about 170 golfers from all over Victoria had registered for the tournament.
“We have very promising entries. Defending champion Craig Boucher will be out to once again win the event, and Helen Pascoe will be lining up as well,” Curnow said.
“Travis Tatt is also one to watch, and there is Brett Carey who is a bit of an underdog who could do well and Chalambar Golf Club’s Michael Harricks in Ararat.”
Tatt was victorious at the 2011 tournament.
“There are a couple of low markers coming down from the border.
“Wodonga’s Justin Gamble and his brother Casey Gamble may shake things up a little, but they don’t know the courses.”
Tomorrow the tournament will move to Midlands Golf Club, with the final day on Sunday at Buninyong Golf Club when the overall winners will be announced.
“There will be a few local rules to keep the day moving along,” Curnow said.
“At Forest Resort, it may be a bit harder for the amateurs losing balls in trees.
“The locals definitely have an advantage, but who knows what might happen.”
