YOUNG Creswick netballers are set to appear in a short television feature alongside former Australian netball captain Sharelle McMahon.
McMahon spent time filming at Doug Lindsay Reserve yesterday, where about 30 junior Wickers players got the chance to meet the Aussie netball great.
The opportunity arose from Creswick's selection as an ANZ Junior Club of the Week, which earned it $2500 worth of cash and equipment.
Creswick netball co-ordinator Bec Cleveland said the club had been forced to borrow a scoreboard from the Midlands Bowls Club for game days in the past, and that the money would allow for the purchase of its own.
Cleveland said this would be part of the Channel Ten feature, which she expected to air across the weekend.
"It was absolutely fantastic. This kind of publicity is something that you really dream about and it was just fantastic we had this opportunity," Cleveland said.
