KYM Cassells sunk a trademark three-pointer to secure a Ballarat Basketball Association women's A grade premiership for Celtic Tigers Green last night.
Her long-range buzzer-beater gave Celtic a 44-42 win over sister team Celtic Tigers Red.
Cassells became renown as a three-point specialist throughout a distinguished career with the Ballarat Lady Miners.
Red led by five points at half-time.
Tahni Nestor and Prue led a Green fightback, scorings its first 12 points of the second half .
On fire from the free-throw line, Kelly Richardson hit two clutch free throws with just seconds remaining to put Red up by a point and the grand final looked to be over.
Cassells had other ideas.
She forced her way just inside half court and despite being off-balance landed a three-pointer off the backboard.
Nestor led all scorers with 21 points and Richardson led Celtic Tigers Red with 17.
Saints defeated Wildcats 48-39 in the men's A grade grand final.
Grylewicz led the scoring with 12 points for Saints, while Tom Adkins topped Wildcats with 10.
