iPhone update: Readers choose the news

TODAY’S front page story was chosen by more than 52 per cent of respondents on

In a first for a regional newspaper,

The Avenue of Honour story was selected by 52.7 per cent of respondents.

The Western Link Road story was chosen by 26.3 per cent of respondents and the sleeping pill ban story by 21 per cent of readers.

Editor Andrew Eales said

“We see this method as a great way for our readers to engage in the news selection process and have the ultimate input into our print product,” Mr Eales said.
